St. Nicolas Church

About the Church
St. Nicolas Church

St. Nicolas has a small but loyal congregation that meets regularly every Sunday morning. Worship is strongly Eucharistic. It is a listed church building of considerable historical importance, dating from c.1600 (some parts are even older).

The bulk of Parish weddings take place at St. Nicolas, which is greatly valued locally as a traditional church of great attractiveness.

The bells of the church are regularly rung by the church bell team (click here for more information about the bells and the bell team).

An arrangement with Eastleigh Borough Council allows drama productions, medieval fairs and local walks and viewings to be held in the church and environs in the summer.

For more photos, and details of the history of the church, visit the Astoft Collection of Buildings of England web-site, or the St. Nicholas Center entry for the church.
