All Saints’ Pre-school

The Pre-school has been a significant part of All Saints’ Church Centre for many years. Its contact with the community has been a ‘stepping stone’ to other groups within the church and therefore has become an integral part of the Centre’s life. The Pre-school provides a varied, interesting and stimulating environment for children between the ages of two years nine months and five years.

Its reputation has brought in children and their families from other areas as well as the local community. Over the years we have had the pleasure of meeting children and their families from many different ethnic backgrounds and cultures. The motto of our Pre-school is ‘Have fun, learn through play’ and our curriculum reflects this through the many varied and wide range of activities aimed at advancing the children’s development.

We open for five sessions per week, with good numbers of children on roll and hope in the future to extend these sessions. Parents and carers are always welcome and are a very important asset to the group. We hold regular and informal parents/carers’ group meetings to share ideas and information and to help parents/carers to get to know each other better. Along with the dedication and hard work of the staff this has made All Saints’ Pre-school the success it is today and we hope this will continue for many years to come.

This is also an opportune moment to give special thanks to Mrs Diana Sparkes who regularly attends the Pre-school in the capacity of Music Practitioner in which she gives us her time free. The children have come to look forward to the quality time they spend with her and we thank her for her continued and loyal support and her link with All Saints’ Church.
